FROSIO certification for AlfaTest Inspector

The decision has now been made to certify key Alfatest inspectors as FROSIO qualified.
The industry is heading in the direction of higher QA expectations and tougher demands on coatings and their application, especially in the areas of ballast tanks.
"Already, new IMO PSPC regulations dictate that only NACE or FROSIO certified inspectors are approved for coating inspection at new building and I feel that it is only a matter of time before the same will apply to inspections on ships in service as well" says AlfaTest MD, Mark Denny.
"Being FROSIO certified will add strength to what we are already doing in our ballast tank inspections."
The first course will begin December 1.
