2009 - Almost midway!

2009 has so far been a year of ups and downs.
The global crisis has put the brakes on a lot of projects which were either planned or under consideration. Many ships are layed up, others operating at low capacity.

What we have seen this to mean for AlfaTest has been as follows:
- New customers or those who have not before seen the benefits of our TCA program (Tank Condition Assessment), have been reluctant to enlist the service thinking that it is just another unnecessary outlay.
- Older customers who have been enjoying the value of the TCA program, have continued to have our inspectors on board and carry out this service, either independantly of Class or within the Class, UTM window period.

As far as UTM inspections go for manditory Special or Class Renewal surveys, we have actually seen an increase.
This is due to the fact that AlfaTest puts all resources into doing each UTM inspection professionally and at a reasonable price. We back our inspections with before and after sales advice and rarely have a disstisfied customer. If and when mistakes are made, it is our policy to rectify them as quickly and painlessly (for the customer) as possible.

For this reason 2009 is shaping up to be quite a good year for us as well.
