AlfaTest specializes in Hull Inspection and Assessment for the Heavy Marine industry. We combine Class Approved thickness measurement with detailed ballast tank inspection and reporting. AlfaTest has now gained its fifth official Service Supplier approval, this time from American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
ABS auditors carried out a thorough inspection of Alfatests' procedures, training programs and work records without remark. This enabled AlfaTest to be awarded this new certification of approval.
To date, AlfaTest has carried out one major UTM survey on an ABS classed vessel, the 100,000 ton oil tanker m/t ELISE SCHULTE.

2009 has so far been a year of ups and downs.
The global crisis has put the brakes on a lot of projects which were either planned or under consideration. Many ships are layed up, others operating at low capacity.
What we have seen this to mean for AlfaTest has been as follows:
